Flavours of the West Food Festival set to replace Taste of Bath for 2009

Anonymous — Thu, 23/04/2009 - 21:25

The Taste of Bath Festival, which has been struggling to find sponsorship this year looks likely to be replaced by the Flavours of the West Food Festival, which will be held in Milsom Place shopping centre on the 4th and 5th of July.

The weekend festival will include tastings, book signings, demonstrations and talks. The Michelin-starred line of celebrities includes Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park at Colerne and Bath Priory head chef James Sheridan along with local chef Martin Blunos as well as last year's Masterchef winner James Nathan.

Organisations involved include the Bath Pig Company, which will promote its chorizo sausages made from locally raised pork, Quoins Organic Vineyard based in Bradford on Avon, The Devon Cream Company, Mendip Moments, Pyman Pates, The Somerset Cheese Company, Cranborne Chase Cheese, Paxton and Whitfield, and Great Western Wine.
